I don't mind the pot because I use clean fingers and I know where my fingers have been. I received this in a Priceline Skincare goody bag. Warm a small amount between fingertips before pressing over face and neck, then blend in upwards and outwards direction. I was a little put off my the fragrance of the cream - a weird and strong smell. All I needed was a bit on the tip of my finger and I spread it across my face. A little goes a long way- you only need a small amount to use it correctly anyway. The packaging does not advise that it contains any SPF yet the blub on this site advises that this face cream contains sunscreen and filters which I find a little confusing and I have no idea what value of SPF protection this cream provides and if I should be using this with other SPF products or not.
Dr lewin private formula. SAFETY NET PRICE
I had heard of Dr. Lewinn's products before, but had never tried it so I was excited to see what the fuss was about. Within just a few days it had started minimising my fine lines and firmed up my under-eye bags. The pearlescent colour also brightens up the eye area quite nicely.
I have very sensitive skin so I was pleased to find it did not sting, itch or irritate my skin like a lot of other products. The only downsides I found was that when I travelled with it in my bag- even just to a friend's house or whatever- the writing on the packaging started rubbing off really easily, and alongside leaving ink marks on some things in my bag, it made the jar look pretty skanky.
There is new packaging now so that might make all the difference. I am yet to travel with this one. Also, if it is over-exposed to air it can turn into a thick jelly like consistency which will not apply easily on your skin and can turn a little sticky.
This is not my favourite eye cream but it is a good one for those who like it. I received it in a goody bag so it has been great to try and I do like a lot of Dr. Lewinn's products. This pot is quite large for the small quantity 15g so I wouldn't suggest this be any good for travelling with - though a lot of eye creams are these days as they come in appropriately sized containers. I'm not convinced this did anything for my fine lines personally but it does create a protective moisture barrier so that the lines are less noticeable.
Which is a little sparkling and It's pretty in colour. It felt very sticky and very hard to spread it in the eye area. And I have noticed over time,by the time I use half of the content, the consistency of the gel change and and become harder, and the other negative effect I noticed was it makes my eyes stung and watery, and I'm pretty sure I was very careful not to get any gel inside my eyes. I still kept on using the gel to see any improvement around my eye area even after using it for so long.
I recieved a 15ml trial size jar of this as part of a gift with purchase. The gel is quite thick, pearlescent-clear in colour, non fragranced. The first couple of times that I tried this eye gel I really didn't like it, I found it to be very sticky and it irritated my eyes a bit, there was a strange stinging sensation which made my eyes water.
I gave it another try and it was fine! It didn't cause any further irritation or sticky feeling which is strange. It is an okay product if you are just looking solely to brighten the eye area. I didn't find it to be moisturising, firming or hydrating at all. It felt like I had just applied a eye gel that did help to brighten my eye area but that is essentially all that this product did for me. Despite the inital shaky start to using this eye gel I found it to be an okay product, best suited for ladies in their early twenties who are just looking to brighten up the area.
It's pretty in colour and I didn't mind that it was a gel until I used it. It felt very sticky and you couldn't dab it on lightly like your suppose to do with eye creams , it was even hard to smooth on because it was so sticky. I can't tell you if it actually works because After about 10 seconds of applying it my eyes started to sting and water and it was a struggle to get through the pain so I washed it off thinking I must have got it too close to my eyes.
The next day I re-applied it and I made sure to keep it far away from my eyes around 1cm but again my eyes started to burn. It's really disappointing as it was a a bit pricey and it's a total waste of money.
I've constantly got bags and dark circles under my eyes so I'm forever looking for the best eye cream to tighten and brighten my under eye area. While I've only been using this cream for a short while, I think I've found the one! The only downside is the smell If only they put some nice fragrance on there I received this in a Priceline Skincare goody bag.
It comes in a white plastic pot with a printed label that started to wear off pretty quickly. That's a bug bear of mine - I hate wondering how I ended up with 'glitter' on my face. The cream actually has a gel consistency and is a little sparkly. I found it a little heavy for me for daily use as I felt like I was developing milia, which improved after I stopped using it. Besides that, it stung my eyes, really made them water even though I didn't get any in my eyes, which seems to be a common complaint.
There a better eye creams out there for me, so I used this up on my neck. Brand Response: Thanks for your feedback. Please feel free to call our customer service line on This eye cream comes in a decent size tub which is easy to get the exact amount that you want to apply but it isn't very hygienic so I make sure I wash my hands before I apply it.
You only need a small amount so a little goes a long way and although it's expensive it last a while. The eye cream is a clear gel which is slightly sticky and has no scent which I like. I have minor fine lines around my eyes but since I started using this eye cream, my fine lines are less noticeable and my skin looks smoother and firmer.
I have used a few eye creams in the past but this is the only eye cream where I was able to notice a difference and improvement to my fine lines around my eyes.
I have taken a star off because every time I apply it, my eyes sting. It's mainly the left one and I have no idea why but reading the reviews, others have the same issue. I love this eyecream, the way it reflects light really lifts the dark circles I have, it really smooths the skin and the gel type texture makes it very easy to glide on without it tugging at such a delicate area. I've used a few eye creams over the years, but only cheaper ones, which have really irritated the skin around my eyes.
To be honest I only purchased this one because it was the cheapest in the Dr LeWinns range which I have recently started to use. I do like it and look forward to putting in on before bedtime. It glides on well and I can feel the firming action it produces. I really can notice a difference in the short time I've been using this and might start using it in the morning as well. The lines around my eyes are not as pronounced but I could be seeing thing I just don't want to see!!!!!
I wish it was in a tube which would allow for easier application rather than using my fingers. I have 2 15g pots of these from 2 Priceline goodie bags.
It doesn't have a fragrance, and I wouldn't want scent in an eye cream anyway. The Firming eye cream itself is a thick, sticky gel, which is white, opaque and transparent all at the same time. They eventually seep their beautiful painful way into my eyes and sting and make me teary. But I still use them, just with a lot of caution.
This gel cream also stung my eyes. So, what I've been doing is not applying too close below my eyes and this helps a lttle. I also apply to the very outer of my crow's feet area, basically where no crows have landed, yet! I have been using this as part of my night time skincare routine and it does feel nice and soothing after I apply it.
In the morning, I don't notice any overnight miracles, but my eye area looks dewy and soft, showing that I did apply some eye cream to the area. I used this product in my last months of pregnancy, and the jar has lasted me till my baby is 3 months. This is the worst my eyes have looked in a long time lack of sleep!
The gel texture makes it really easy to apply, and quick to absorb, and yes, if I use it too close to my eyeball it does burn, however by using it along the bags, and avoiding the lid it's fine.
I put this on overnight, and people have been telling me how glowing my skin looks, even after a few days worth of broken sleep. Love it. I received a full sized tub of this eye cream in a Priceline skincare goody bag a little while back and was impressed that they were so generous by giving a full sized product. It wasn't until I started using it that I realised why they needed the promotion for this product This eye cream is a lightweight, gel formula with fine glitters in it which is supposed to reflect light so that the undereye area looks brighter.
I can see how it works in theory but to be honest, I don't really see a difference when I put it on. The gel consistency sinks into the skin quickly which is ideal for daytime use under makeup. The biggest problem I have with this eye cream is that it stings my eyes if I put too much on.
I've been using it day and night for a few months now I've barely made a dent in it so I guess you could say it is value for money. I have some fine lines developing under my eyes and this does stop the lines from further developing but I've used other eye creams in the past that have done that, minus the stinging.
Also, I think the packaging is not that hygienic as you need to keep sticking your fingers in the pot each time. Yes it stings! Yes it made my eyes tear!
Yes it was uncomfortable! No body promised that beauty was easy! BUT it actually works I am tired of wasting my money and being coned by companies and products claiming to do things they do not do.
I love this product because it is honest. I suspect that this product was trialed on cadavers because it seems the running consensus is that this burns the eyes, you can add my opinion to that pile too. This light, yet sticky, gel is full of pretty pearl reflects which I assume is supposed to reflect light around the eye, diminishing the appurtenance of dark circles.
The problem is that it doesn't really do that and even if it did it would be a temporary fix as it would just wash away at the end of the day when you cleanse your face. Wouldn't repurchase or recommend. We regret to hear that you weren't completely satisfied with the product. We recommend to always patch test new products and discontinue using the product if any irritation has been experienced.
Thanks again for the feedback. I was looking for an eye cream that contained Retin A in order to brighten up under my eye area.
I was pretty happy when I found this eye cream containing Retin A. It comes in a jar which is quite unusual for an eye cream. I find this really unhygienic especially for eye area which is sensitive and delicate. It has a funny sparkly gel texture. Shop Private Formula. Mask Material. Skin Concerns. Skin Type.
