Respond Ignore User Report. This is impossible, it is like saying Pikachu dies YAY they can't kill one of the main characters. No she did not, she has appeared in advanced battle can't remember which advanced series they keep changing the word after advanced so she couldn't have died in the original.
JX Valentine. Professional ninja. May or may not actually be back. Need some light reading? FC: Wins : 47 Loses : 4 Draws : 1.

The next morning, after spending the night resting in Misty's mansion, Misty leads Red to her Gym and reveals herself to be the Gym Leader.

Misty is a typical 10 year old. She spends little time with her family, doesn't particularly get along with her sisters, travels the world on her own, and owns a plethora of animals she keeps in small balls, occasionally letting out to fight other animals to gain reputation and glory. You know, typical preteen stuff. The truth is, Misty's life is far from normal. But that' s only where the weirdness begins. When you take a closer look at a lot of the minute details of Misty's day to day being, certain things start to just not make a whole lot of sense.
For example, is she really putting herself through all of this to get a bicycle back? And what color is her hair really? Fortunately, we here at TheGamer. So read on and enjoy! Did we miss a bizarre Misty fact you just know the world has to get its eyes on? Drop a comment and let us know! No question about it—Misty is in tip-top shape. It takes a serious level of dedication to rock a cut-off tank top and borderline Daisy Dukes on a daily basis. So it stands to reason she must stick to a pretty strict, intense, and heavily vegetable-based diet, right?
As it turns out, Misty doesn't even like a huge portion of the vegetable portion of the food pyramid, passing regularly on both carrots and peppers. I suppose a high protein, fish based diet could keep someone in pretty good shape too. She's hot-tempered, speaks her mind, and isn't afraid let her voice be heard when she thinks something isn't right. Take when she first meets Ash. After fishing Ash and his Pikachu out of a lake, Misty rushes over to make sure Pikachu is okay.
When Ash responds that he's alright, she furiously whacks him across the face, telling him she was inquiring after his adorable yellow buddy, not his goofy red hat wearing behind.
If you watch the American version, you can even hear the slap sound effect right before we cut to Misty post-slap.
I say let Misty be Misty, America! Nurse Joy? I don't think so. I don't think we've ever actually seen her own any. I don't know. We don't need to go into this right now. Because the answer is actually Misty! In Just Add Water , episode , Misty challenges Dorian, the Coastline Gym Leader, to a battle after he casually mentions he heard through the grapevine she was the weakest of the Cerulean City gym leaders, specifically saying her sisters told him she was a loser.
She pretty much instantly challenges the shmo to a battle. And sure, she doesn't win, but hey, you gotta admire Misty's moxie. Plus, a big reason she didn't get the win was because of that pesky Psyduck. Man, I love that Psyduck. Wish I had me a Psyduck. So, this is bizarre. As you may already know, Misty has three sisters, nicknamed "The Sensational Sisters this does not include Misty, real classy girls.
To paraphrase a classic Sesame Street tune, one of these names isn't a flower. What's that about? Did Misty's parents just run out of flowers when they were trying to think of a name for her? How about Buttercup? Or Daffodil? I could totally see Misty being a Daffodil. Seriously though, it's bizarre. Is it possible Misty was adopted?
Cause that might make a lot of sense. Nobody tell her, though. She's got enough on her plate as is. This is pretty fascinating, and says something not just about how Misty was received as a character, but about how boys and girls consume media.
Young girls saw misty as a hero, someone to look up to and root for, where boys not only didn't care for her, but tried to belittle her! This goes back to Misty's character in the manga wanting respect. She's only a hot-tempered loudmouth if you look at her through that lens. I mean, who are we supposed to idolize in this show: Brock? A guy who can't walk two feet without falling over himself at the sight of a woman?
Time to get woke, young males! Come on. That would be insane. You can't have possibly thought that's what this entry was going to be about. I mean, I guess, if you read the title, you might think that's what this entry was going to be about.
That's fair. Okay, maybe this is a little on me. Listen, I've already gotten way off topic here. As a child, she crawled into a Gyarados's mouth and has been scared silly ever since. Maybe Blupdos. Let's keep going. In America, we call Misty "Misty duh. What the heck? So, in pretty much every country, she's the same thing, but France has to go and get all metaphorical with it?
Look, I get it. France is the country that gave us baguettes, a lot of great wine, and French new wave cinema obviously. They like to push the culture forward. I understand. But this feels like a stretch.
She's Misty. Just call her Misty. Plus, every time I see Undine now I think of Undertale. We all thought that, right? Was it because I used a picture of her? One thing that's just never made sense to me with Misty is her choice to rock the red suspenders. It's not that they don't look cool, and as a fashion choice, I totally get it.
But they don't seem practical in any way, shape, or form. I mean, it's not like they're holding up her shorts, which is the whole point of wearing suspenders. Also, while we're on wardrobe, Ash and Brock both go around wearing jackets while Misty is pretty much barely clothed for the whole show. What's up with that? Somebody get this girl to a North Face. So what's this doing on a list of things that don't make any sense? Well, how could that possibly be the case? While it singles Misty out and definitely makes her special, one has to wonder where all the other lady water type masters are.
Let's be honest, if anyone else tried to come for Misty's spot, they'd have a hard time getting it. She's one of a kind, and any other female water masters would likely just fall by the wayside.
And would probably have way less cool names. Who you gonna go with, Misty or Sloshy? That was rhetorical. Nobody's going with Sloshy.
Question: WHY?! The only thing I can think of is that she has some kind of emotional attachment to the Staryu. So wait, maybe the truth is actually that she hates the Staryu, and wants to keep her Starmie happy and pampered. Either way, it's weird. And what's up with that un-evolved Raichu that follows Ash around everywhere?
